There are a lot of seniors who find that volunteering has helped them on a physical level. It has helped them with their mobility and gives them something to look forward to.
Most people when they have become involved in volunteer services say that it makes them feel good because they are not focusing on their own problems. They know that what they are doing no matter how big or small is helping others. By nature, most people want to feel needed. When volunteer services are required it is because there is a need. The volunteer is able to help meet that need and it is self-rewarding.
